dc.description.abstract The rapid expansion of the digital economy has fundamentally transformed the way corporations operate, communicate, and create value. Emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, big data analytics, cloud computing, and digital platforms have significantly improved corporate efficiency, transparency, and decision-making. However, these technological advancements have also introduced complex legal and governance challenges relating to data privacy, cybersecurity, algorithmic accountability, corporate compliance, stakeholder protection, and ethical business practices. Traditional corporate governance frameworks are often inadequate to address the evolving risks associated with digital business models and technology-driven decision-making. This paper examines the changing landscape of corporate governance in the digital economy by analysing the legal implications of digital transformation and the role of technological innovations in strengthening corporate accountability, transparency, and regulatory compliance. It explores the responsibilities of corporate boards in managing digital risks, protecting stakeholder interests, ensuring responsible use of emerging technologies, and maintaining effective governance mechanisms. The study further evaluates the adequacy of existing corporate and technology-related regulatory frameworks in India and highlights the need for adaptive legal reforms to address emerging governance issues. A qualitative and doctrinal research methodology is adopted, relying on secondary sources such as legislation, judicial decisions, regulatory guidelines, academic literature, and policy reports. The paper concludes that effective corporate governance in the digital era requires a balanced integration of technological innovation with robust legal oversight, ethical governance principles, and forward-looking regulatory frameworks. It recommends strengthening digital governance policies, enhancing board competence in technology governance, promoting cybersecurity and data protection measures, and developing flexible regulatory mechanisms capable of responding to the rapidly evolving digital business environment. Such reforms will contribute to sustainable corporate growth, investor confidence, and responsible digital transformation in the twenty-first century. en_US
